Help change the lives of New York City's most vulnerable children and families.

No act of generosity is too small to make a difference.

ABC's mission is to offer every child a healthy, safe life by creating compassionate programs in urgent response to the needs of New York City's most vulnerable families. We envision a world in which all children have a life full of joy, learning, and love in a nurturing family.

All of ABC's programs respond to the unique, urgent, and often-changing needs of each child and family. With programs in early childhood education; supportive housing; children's mental health services and crisis intervention; family preservation; year-round youth development; and an open door to the community, ABC is a refuge for families living in poverty. ABC employs a whole family approach, recognizing that a nurturing family and secure parent-child attachment are critical components of early childhood development and positive life trajectories for children, families, and communities.

ABC's programs have a measurable, positive impact on children:

  • 100% of ABC's high school seniors graduated last year -- 30 points higher than the graduation rates for Latinx and Black students citywide. 100% of ABC's youth avoided juvenile justice system involvement.
  • 95% of children who received mental health treatment at one of ABC's clinics improved their symptoms.
  • 95% of children that received our abuse and neglect prevention services remained safe and with their families, avoiding further harm or foster care placement.
  • ABC's early childhood programs are rated in the top 5% of all early childhood programs in New York City.

Your generosity will help us deepen our impact and increase access to our life-changing programs for New York City's most vulnerable children and their families. Thank you for supporting ABC's Thanks for Giving!
